Two due in court charged with murder of retired Port Talbot farmer Llewelyn Thomas

TWO men have been charged with the murder of a retired Port Talbot farmer.

Llewelyn Thomas was found dead at his home in Chittering, near Cambridge, more than a year ago.

Mr Thomas, aged 76, had farmed in the Margam and Cefn Cribbwr areas before moving to Cambridgeshire with his wife 12 years ago on his retirement.

Frankie Parker, 25, of Nene Road, Ely, and Gary Smith, 20, of no fixed address, were both arrested yesterday and have been charged with the pensioner's murder.

Parker was due to appear at Cambridge Magistrates Court today, while Smith is set to appear next Thursday, February 14.

Mr Thomas was discovered in his home in Ely Road on the morning of Sunday, December 18, 2011. He was last seen alive the previous evening.
