Two hundred bin bags dumped outside for three weeks at Cwmafan house
A BUSINESS man is calling on council bosses to clear away hundreds of bin bags of rubbish they have removed from a Cwmafan home.
Billy Mahoney, of Brynbryddan, said it’s been weeks since environmental health began clearing the home of his neighbour, after they left the property.
He said: "They said they had to clear out the house. You couldn’t see the curtains because there were flies covering them.
"When they got in there, they opened the windows, but I complained to Environmental Health that they were letting these flies out into the street.
"I’ve been onto them ever since — that was three weeks ago. They’ve dumped all the furniture outside, it’s covered in dog mess and is three feet away from us.
"My tax money is not being put to use, there are about 200 to 300 bin bags.
"I don’t know why they are not just putting it straight onto a lorry."
The Post contacted Neath Port Talbot Council, who said the property was under the auspices of NPT Homes.
A spokeswoman for NPT Homes said the property would be cleared tomorrow afternoon.
