No benefits from the EU
BRITISH taxpayers will have to stump up a further £1.8 billion to bolster the EU's bloated coffers.
It means the UK will hand the European Commission a colossal £33.1 billion by the end of 2014.
The huge rise adds further weight to the crusade to get Britain out of the EU. Forecasts predict the eurozone will be in recession this year and in the next four years will deliver growth at less than half the rate of the world as a whole.
The UK's economy is chained to the slowcoach of the world economy, the amount of money we give to the EU continues to spiral out of control. I disagree with Leanne Wood, leader of Plaid Cymru, when she says Wales benefits greatly from being a member, it is not true.

“maxmin needs to understand the history. Nato was formed to stop the expansion of communism into western Europe and was led by the USA who invested finance into western europe under the Marshall Plan. It was Winston Churchill, in a speech at Metz who called for unity in Europe as the nation states of Europe had fought each other in wars for centuries. The forerunner of the EU was the Euroean Coal & Steel Community which was to rationalise coal & steel production in Europe and was followed by the Europen Community/Common Market = EU.”

“I presume Morlaisboy is talking about the war. Peace in Europe has been because of NATO not the EU.”

“James Cole produces no evidence to support the view he takes. Wales/UK is part of the Global Economy and we have to compete in the Global Market. Moreover, our security becomes more dependent on cooperation with other states. As LBJ put it "It is better to be inside looking out that outside looking in. Although LBJ's language was a little more rough being a Texan. Mr Cole should have experienced the devastation in Swansea and across Europe when we did not cooperate with each other but took more aggresive solutions.”
