Top award for Steelman De-Vulgt
PORT Talbot Town player Leigh De-Vulgt has been recognised for his achievements in Welsh football, after being named as Welsh Premier League Clubman of the Year at the FAW's annual award night in Cardiff.
De-Vulgt, 32, is currently in his tenth year as a Port Talbot player after arriving at the club in 2004 from Welsh Premier League rivals Carmarthen Town.
De-Vulgt, who began his career at hometown club Swansea City, is planning to celebrate his testimonial year at Port Talbot Town by confirming a number of events at the end of season, which will hopefully include a dinner and a friendly match.
A Port Talbot Town spokesman said: "We're delighted that the FAW have acknowledged Leigh's services to the Welsh Premier League.
"Leigh is truly deserving of this award and has played a major role in the progress that the club have made in recent years. His dedication, enthusiasm and professionalism have been exceptional and he is not only an asset to our first-team squad but also as a positive role model to players at all levels of the club."
