No pleas were entered to these charges during a brief hearing at Swansea Magistrates Court, and he was committed to Swansea Crown Court on March 12.

His solicitor  David Williams said no application for bail would be made.

Saunders was remanded into custody.

He was also charged with possessing 5.8g of cocaine and pleaded guilty to this offence.

He was fined £100, and told to pay a £20 victim surcharge — time spent in custody since his arrest was taken in default of payment.

Reynolds, of Carmarthen Road, Fforestfach, is accused of two counts of robbery and was committed to Crown Court on March 12.

No pleas were entered and he was remanded into custody.

He is also accused of driving whilst disqualified and with no insurance — allegations he denies.

He will appear before magistrates on March 13 via video link regarding to the driving matters.

The alleged robberies took place at Ladbrokes betting shops in Bonymaen and Trallwn at around 5.30pm on Thursday, February 28.

Three other men — all aged 23 — and a 21-year-old woman who were arrested in connection with the same incidents have been released on police bail pending further inquiries.

A 29-year-old man also arrested has been released with no further action.
