Youths' sporting skills day
A GROUP of Neath youngsters have been putting their skills to the test in a sports day.
The Hillympics Sports Day was staged by Mid & West Wales Fire & Rescue Service, South Wales Police and Dyfed-Powys Police at Hillside Secure Unit in Neath. There were a variety of different sports held on the day, including football, kick rounders and water skittles. The partnership aims to promote work in the community.
Inspector Karl Eenmaa, of Port Talbot Police Station, said: "We believe that this is an excellent way in which to engage with the youngsters. "We hope that officers from both the police and fire service can build bridges, and develop a rapport and understanding with the young people for when they all return to their local communities."
