SWANSEA talent will be entertaining thousands of people in the heart of London next weekend.

Fifty students from the Mark Jermin Stage School will perform on the outdoor stage at West End Live in Trafalgar Square, along with the casts of many popular West End shows, including Legally Blonde, Mamma Mia, Wicked and Shrek.

Performer Amy Turner said, "We are all working so hard to make sure both the routine and vocals are perfect. It is all of our dreams to perform on a West End stage and you can't get much closer than this."

The stage school will be performing two numbers at the event, the first a medley by younger members aged 11 to 14, and the second by students aged 14 and over.

Stage school director Mark Jermin said: "The pressure is really on for our students. To be performing at such a high profile event with the best talent of the West End is a huge opportunity for each and every one of them."

The school takes to the stage next Saturday, June 18.

Choreographer Jessica Phillips added: "The whole routine is very challenging for the performers."
