Youngster Ben Davies signs new contract with Swansea City
SWANSEA City left-back Ben Davies has signed a new three-and-a-half-year contract which will keep him at the Liberty until June 2016.
Davies, 19, has soared to prominence this season, making his Swans debut against West Ham in August and then going on to start in two World Cup qualifiers for Wales in October.

It has been a remarkable campaign so far for Davies, and the Swansea youth product, who had 18 months left on his current contract, is thrilled to extend his stay in SA1.
"I'm delighted to have signed a new deal," he said. "It shows the faith the club have in me and I've been rewarded for that.

"It's more security for me, and that will allow me to keep working as hard as possible to continue my development here."
Although Swansea signed Dutch left-back Dwight Tiendalli to provide cover for the sidelined Taylor, manager Michael Laudrup has kept faith with Davies.
Having come on for Taylor against Sunderland, the youngster from Neath started away at Aston Villa the following week and has been an ever-present in the Premier League since.
Composed in defence and increasingly confident in attack, he has adapted admirably to the demands of the top flight.
It has been a whirlwind breakthrough season for Davies, but he remains level-headed.
"I have already learned a lot from not only playing, but by working hard in training with the manager, coaching staff and team-mates, and taking as much advice as possible from them," Davies added.
"It's a great time to be at Swansea City — whether you are a player or supporter — and I'm delighted to be a part of it."
Davies has missed some training after a bout of sickness this week, but will be okay to face Liverpool tomorrow.

“The lad has performed so well that not only have we not missed Taylor at all, but he may even have a serious job getting his place back when he's recovered from injury.
This is excellent news.”
