Xmas trade call
NEATH'S Chamber of Trade president hopes talks will be opened with businesses after it was revealed Port Talbot's Christmas celebrations would return to two days.
Yesterday, the Post revealed that Neath Port Talbot Council had made a U-turn on this year's Christmas arrangements in Port Talbot, after sitting down to talk with the town's Chamber of Trade.
The new arrangements come at a cost as Aberafan Shopping Centre has agreed to foot the £1,300 bill in order to have the two-day event.
But now calls are being made for talks to be reopened in Neath — which lost its two-day event five years ago. Andy Lodwig, president of Neath Chamber of Trade, said: "I hope they will do the same for the people of Neath."
