X FACTOR singer Lucie Jones has branded Simon Cowell "hypocritical" after he failed to save her from the axe last weekend.

The 18-year-old lost out to twins John and Edward after Simon let the final decision go to public vote, despite saying in the past the Irish twins had no vocal talent.

And in an interview with Celebrity Scoop Lucie hit out at his decision for the first time since leaving the show.

She told me: "In my heart of hearts I did think Simon was a little bit hypocritical for not saving me, but in my head part of me thinks he wasn't.

"We all know really that there's reasons Simon does things that none of us will ever know. His mind works in magical and mystical ways."

Former bar worker Lucie was in Swansea on Wednesday after city club Oceana secured her first gig in Wales.

And speaking to Celebrity Scoop ahead of a three-song set at the venue, she told me she hoped to stay friends with mentor Dannii Minogue.

She told me: "Dannii is definitely the best judge to get. She's the most hands-on of all of them.

"I genuinely think we'll be friends after this. I've been speaking to her all day and she's been texting."

And Lucie — who was at the event with boyfriend Richard Jaycock — revealed she is backing Stacey.

She told me: "I want Stacey to win all the way. I think she's got a great chance of winning — she's got the whole package.

"She's gorgeous, talented and her personality is just so infectious. Everyone loves her."

And Lucie quipped it wouldn't be bad for the twins to win.

She joked: "If they win Simon will leave the country so that's one bonus I suppose!"

“Firstly, this show is not about finding talent. Its about finding the ¿act¿ that will make Simon the most money by releasing a song at Christmas and then never being seen again. EG Leon, Stve Brookstein etc

Secondly, the judges could not spot genuine talent if it punched them all in the face (which they all deserve). The acts that did well such as Liberty X, JLS, Lemar, Darius etc all failed to win.”

“She was the least popular act there as she had the least votes and went.
Why wouldn't Cowell let the public vote decde as she was clearly on borrowed time and wasn't going to win, being in the bottom two already.”

“It is true that it was the public who put Lucie in the bottom two - how many of you making a fuss actually voted for her?? The point is that we still would not have heard of her if it was not for the X Factor so Simon Cowell has given her a massive start so she needs to be careful what she says and remain dignified. She wasnt exactly honest with her "Im just a girl from a little Welsh village" giving the impression of fields and sheep - she is from Pentyrch which is only a couple of miles from Cardiff!!! Hardly the back of beyond!!”

“The show is a FIX and I would think it will be coming to an end. Now that Jamie Afros has been chucked out: I won't be watching it.

And that Lloyd Daniels. OMG .... what a load of crap.

Mummy is watching TV with her little darling and they are, no doubt, voting for the pretty boys. Ahhh bless!”
