ROADWORKS to improve traffic flow in Carmarthen will begin on Monday.

Catherine Street at its junction with Water Street in the town, will see its junction layout realigned, while footway and signal head alterations will also be made.

The changes are being put in place in order to introduce a dedicated right-turn filter lane from Catherine Street onto Water Street.

The work forms part of the Welsh Government funded Sustainable Travel Centre scheme, in order to improve journey time reliability for public transport and to reduce the time cars queue at this location to improve local air quality.
