PENGUIN fans will be able to view their feathered friends from an under water viewing platform at Folly Farm thanks to a major investment.

Work on a £500,000 enclosure at the Pembrokeshire attraction is taking shape with the installation of a £150,000 pump system.

The development will initially house 15 humboldt penguins and create 10 jobs.

Folly Farm zookeeper Tim Morphew said: "We've designed the enclosure so it is similar to a penguin's natural habitat, with saltwater that is as a close a match as possible to seawater."
