Woman had 'been plied with alcohol'
A LLANELLI woman who was ''plied with alcohol'' has admitted using threatening words and behaviour to cause harassment or alarm.
Jade Annette Guinan of Great Western Crescent pleaded guilty to the offence at Llanelli Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
Officers were called to an address in Great Western Terrace at 1am on July 21 after Guinan was asked to stay elsewhere because of her behaviour.
When taken to the police vehicle to find somewhere else for her to stay Guinan started swearing and shouting at officers.
Gerald Neave, prosecuting, said: "Officers explained she would be arrested as there were other members of the public in the street.
"She refused to listen to any reason and was arrested."
The 20-year-old told officers: "You do not know what I have been through."
In mitigation, Steve Lloyd, said: "She was in a position where she was in a group with older males who were feeding her alcohol — she had drunk too much. She was being plied with alcohol. Her recollection of this night is very, very limited.
"Jade is a young lady who in certain frames of mind has no problem in sticking up for herself."
Mr Lloyd said some of Jade's behaviour was down to minimal parental contact after being moved from her home in Newcastle in her early teens. He added Guinan would be returning home to Newcastle now bridges had been built with her mother.
Guinan was ordered to pay a £75 fine, court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £20.
