Woman 'glassed' five-month pregnant clubber in Bailey's nightclub, Llanelli
A WOMAN dressed as a robber during a theme night in a Llanelli club "glassed" a five-month pregnant woman over the head, it was alleged in court.
Leah Owens, 29, of Maes Golau, Felinfoel, appeared at Swansea Crown Court accused of actual bodily harm against Rebecca Gasser.
Witnesses on the first day of the trial told how they had seen Owens dancing with Rebecca's boyfriend, Steve Goss, with her black and white striped dress undone, exposing her bra.
Complainant, Ms Gasser, had been out for the evening with her partner and other friends, and attended Baileys nightclub, which was hosting a beach party-themed night.

Three witnesses — including Ms Gasser, Rosie Thomas and Angharad Miles — said they had been outside the club in the early hours of August 7, 2011, and on re-entering, had seen Mr Goss on the dance floor with Owens.
Ms Miles described Owens as "grinding" against Mr Goss, adding: "She was all over him". The court heard Ms Gasser had walked over to confront the defendant, with Ms Miles and Ms Thomas following her. She asked Owens what she was doing, and in less than a minute, Owens had "grabbed" Ms Gasser's hair, and pushed her to the ground, witnesses told the jury.
Ms Thomas said: "It happened so quick, it was in an instant."
Ms Miles told the court that she then saw Owens hit Ms Gasser's head with a bottle of Smirnoff Ice, "several times", before Ms Miles's boyfriend, Andrew Tucker, then tried to break up the incident.
Mr Tucker said he'd become aware of the incident on returning inside after having a cigarette.
He said: "I grabbed the defendant and started making my way from the dance floor to separate them."
Defence solicitor, Carina Hughes, questioned witnesses on whether they had seen a bottle, or mistaken handcuffs worn by Owens for the bottle, during cross examination.
The case continues.
