Woman breached order to contact her ex-girlfriend
A WOMAN has admitted breaching a restraining order imposed to stop her contacting her former partner.
Caroline Crouch, aged 44 of Powys Avenue in Townhill, appeared in the dock at Swansea Magistrates' Court and pleaded guilty to contacting Michelle Lewis.
Magistrates were told the restraining order was imposed in March this year after Crouch assaulted Miss Lewis.
The court heard the couple had been in a relationship for three years but had broken up in June this year. Miss Lewis said Crouch had continually been contacting her and she had finally relented and agreed to meet up.
She said she wanted to end any contact with Crouch.
The pair did meet and originally Miss Lewis thought her former partner had "changed" but said she would not have met with Crouch if she had not contacted her first.
The incident was reported to the police.
Her solicitor Craig Harding said: "She says the contact is very much a two-way street but the stark difference is that the complainant is not subject to a restraining order and Caroline Crouch is."
City magistrates adjourned the case for sentencing on October 8.
