Defence solicitor Kate Williams said Morris had asked to go to prison last year and since then had made good progress with an addiction to Class A drugs.
Ms Williams said: "She said she was assaulted and she's the one who ends up in a police cell. However, she accepts her behaviour was unacceptable for the residents living there.
"She's come a long way since she was in custody last year.
"She's no longer relying on Class A drugs which is a major step forward for her."
Morris was fined £75 and ordered to pay £85 court costs and £15 victim surcharge.
