Woman from the Swansea area on child murder charge
A WOMAN from the Swansea area has appeared in court charged with the murder of a child.
She also faces a second charge of causing grievous bodily harm to another child.

The woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Cardiff Crown Court yesterday.
Her appearance in Cardiff followed her first brief appearance in front of Swansea magistrates.

Prosecuting barrister Christopher Clee QC said the woman is likely to next appear at crown court in June to enter her plea to the two charges.
Mr Justice Wyn Williams told both Mr Clee and defence barrister Elwen Evans QC any trial would not take place before November or December this year.
Justice Williams then granted the woman conditional bail.
