Winds hit sign
A SIGN welcoming people to Llanelli has been removed after being damaged in high winds.
The wooden sign, directing drivers to the town centre from Trostre roundabout, had been the subject of controversy for some time after people suffering colourblindness complained they could not read it.
A county council spokesman said: "The sign was in the course of being redesigned and would have been replaced later this month anyway. This is the same sign over which there have been complaints of the legibility of some words to those few people suffering from colour-blindness.
"This is being addressed in the new sign being prepared which also will be marking the £26 million Eastgate development being delivered this year."
