WALES'S bid for an under-20s Grand Slam has been boosted by the inclusion of four regional stars.

Blues wing Harry Robinson and Dragons No. 8 Ieuan Jones will make their first appearances of the campaign against Scotland at Inverness tomorrow (7.35pm), while Jones's Rodney Parade team-mates Hallam Amos and Jack Dixon are named among the replacements.

Blues fly-half Rhys Patchell — who has made a major impact at the Arms Park this season — would have been considered, but misses out because of injury.

Robinson, Jones, Dixon and Amos have been playing for their regions in the Pro12 in recent weeks, but with league action taking a break for a fortnight, they are called up by coach Danny Wilson.

Wilson has made four changes in all, one of them positional with skipper Ellis Jenkins switching to blindside flanker to accommodate Jones at No. 8.

Elsewhere, Steffan Hughes returns to the centre with Thomas Pascoe ruled out through illness, while Robinson replaces Ashley Evans out wide.

Wilson explained: "Ashley Evans has been playing well on the wing, but it's a case of preparing for the Junior World Championship and tweaking the side to give players opportunities as we have done throughout this tournament.

"It's not a case of regional players walking straight into the side but, at the same time, it's great to create competition within the squad."
