MUMBLES Cons A raced to the top of division one in the Absolute Snooker Swansea Clubs League after a 5-0 whitewash victory over Mansel Workingmen's B.

Gary Davies started the match in scintillating form as he knocked in breaks of 49 and 32 and Dai Hopkins finished things with a flourish as he knocked in breaks of 35 and 36.

Swansea Dockers A continued their good start to the season with a 3-2 win at Swansea Labour A and this match also featured some fine breaks.

Marc Hembrow knocked in a 40 break, but his opponent Keith Murrells came back to win the frame.

John Perrin, though, made no such mistake as he rattled in a 32 break and Wayne Davies secured the win for the Dockers with a 33 clearance in the final frame. Cwmfelin A beat Beechwood A 3-2.

Swansea Dockers B are top of division two after a 4-1 defeat of Penlan B. Simon Davies made a 28 break and Paul Thomas 32 for Dockers.

Penlan A beat St Illtyd's A 3-2 and Morriston Workingmen's B were beaten at home by Rileys A. Anthony Griffiths made a 28 break in frame one, Mark Wilks secured frame two with a break of 25 followed by a 27 clearance and Dean Matthews clinched frame four with a 25 clearance.

Heathcliffe A are top of division three after a 4-1 win at Swansea Labour C, a 28 break by J Bidder securing the home side's only point.

South Wales Transport are second after their 4-1 win over St Illtyd's B and Swansea Labour B won 3-2 at Swansea Dockers C.
