Welsh broadcaster marks 30th birthday
SOUTH Wales West AM Suzi Davies has congratulated S4C on 30 years of Welsh programming.
The Conservative spokeswoman for heritage said: "This is a tremendous milestone for S4C, which continues to provide high quality Welsh- medium programming to TV audiences.
"The channel has become an integral part of Britain's democratic culture as well as its important role as a source of Welsh language output."
There has been cross-party support for the Welsh TV channel.

Mid and West AM Simon Thomas has tabled a statement of opinion in the Senedd congratulating S4C on reaching its 30th birthday.
Mr Thomas, the Party of Wales Shadow Minister for Education, Skills and the Welsh language said: "It is fitting that the National Assembly marks the 30th birthday of S4C."
He added: "Congratulations to the channel on reaching its 30th birthday."
