Welsh beauty Sophie Vijay wins Miss Teen International Cymru title
A YOUNG Welsh beauty queen has taken the title of Miss Teen International Cymru.
Sophie Vijay, a sixth-form pupil at St Michael's School, won the Welsh regional final of Miss Teen International at the Porthcawl Pavilion last week.

The 17-year-old is already an ambassador for The Joshua Foundation after winning Miss Charity at the Miss Carmarthenshire competition last year, after raising £1,000.
Sophie said she couldn't believe it when she was announced the winner.

"It was an amazing moment. I loved every minute of it," Sophie said.
"I started crying because I felt so proud.
"I am really honoured to be representing Wales in the next competition."
"I entered because I wanted to show I am proud of who I am and show off my confidence," she added.
Sophie will now compete in the Miss Teen International Great Britain competition in Blackpool in April.
