The couple, who have two children, Charlotte, 14, and Luke, 13, met in August 2009 while strolling along the seafront in Aberavon.
The pair, who were while on a trip to Dubai in 2011, had been researching wedding locations at home and abroad to no avail, until they read about the Evening Post's Win a Dream Wedding competition.
Emma, who works for Neath Port Talbot Council and construction lawyer Steve, originally from Kenfig Hill, made an appeal to family, friends, neighbours and local shops to help them collect wedding coupons in a bid to win the prize.
Emma, originally from Grovesend, said: "We are the happiest couple on the planet after winning the Evening Post competition.
"The venue at Oldwalls is absolutely stunning and the prizes are magnificent.
"I have met my soul mate and cannot wait to become Mrs Butcher on St David's Day. It really is a dream come true. I cannot believe that we won the competition; I'm still in shock!''
Brides and grooms-to-be will also have the chance to win the wedding of their dreams like Steve and Emma when the Evening Post launches its Win a Dream Wedding on Monday.
One lucky couple could win a wedding at Oldwalls on March 1, 2014 with a fantastic wedding package to match.
Like last year, we have joined forces with the luxury five-star venue and numerous local wedding traders to bring you everything you need for your special day and bring you a prize of a lifetime.
A spokeswoman for the paper's promotions team said: "We had an outstanding response to last year's competition.
"We would like to thank all our sponsors and all those who took part especially the people who collected the tokens."
*Tokens will appear in the paper over the next seven weeks, so start collecting.
