PROMISING Swansea super- middleweight Tobias Webb will look to "jab the hell" out of Lee Duncan tomorrow night.

The Bonymaen boxer takes in his fourth professional fight at Liverpool's Echo Arena, with Yorkshireman Duncan next on his list.

Three points victories have seen Webb enjoy a positive start to life in the pro game, and under coach Karl Ince he is quietly building up steam.

And Webb has been given a simple plan ahead of his four-round bout with Sheffield talent Duncan.

"Duncan is a rangy fighter and Karl has put a plan together for tomorrow," said Webb.

"Karl reckons my jab is a superb weapon, and he basically told me to jab the hell out of him.

"In my last fight I was reckless. I went against Karl's advice and looked for a knockout, which was silly of me.

"I learned a lot from that and I'm definitely going to listen to Karl this time around," he added.

The 21-year-old faces an opponent who has lost four and drawn one of his seven pro fights.

Duncan, also 21, has won two of his last three fights, but Webb is cautious of underestimating opponents at this stage of his career.

Webb knows all too well how damaging a defeat this early in his career can be.

His uncle — Enzo Maccarinelli — suffered a shock knockout to Lee Swaby in only his fourth fight back in 2000.

Maccarinelli would go on to become the WBO cruiserweight champion, though that defeat to Swaby sticks out on his record.

"I won't underestimate any fighter I face," said Webb. "You can't afford to do that, particularly early in your career.

"Duncan is confident and will be keen to take my unbeaten record, but I'm determined to come out on top."
