SEVERAL homes in the Pontardawe area of the Swansea Valley have had their water supply disrupted.

Unconfirmed reports suggest a main's water supply near Derwen Deg has been damaged by workmen.

A spokesman for Dwr Cymru Welsh Water said: "We have had a report of an incident and we are sending inspectors out to take a look. We are not in a position at the moment to comment on the extent of the problem or how many homes are affected."
