LLANELLI Warriors managed an impressive victory at Tumble with a great display of attacking flair.

Excellent conditions at Parc Mawr were conducive to running rugby and both sides were happy to oblige.

It was high-tempo from start to finish and the scores came thick and fast.

The initial score looked unlikely when the Warriors chipped ahead, but a series of handling errors allowed Jonathan Kerr to pounce for a poacher's try.

The score gave the Warriors confidence and they went on to dominate most of the opening quarter. Nathan Lawson got the first of a brace of tries for the Warriors, then Chris Edmunds crossed for his first Warriors try.

Pattern

The Magpies got themselves back into the game when captain Emyr Davies drove over the line after some fine work from his forwards.

And this set the pattern for a nip and tuck affair.

A fine individual try from Adam Benikaritis kept Tumble in it, but back came the Warriors to score on the stroke of half-time for a well deserved 22-12 lead at the break.

The Magpies came out strongly after the interval and probably had the best of the second half.

But they couldn't haul in the Warriors. Ryan Morgan capped a fine debut with a try and joining him on the score sheet were Curtis Ramcke and Simon Jenkins.

Shaun Farmer, Benikaritis and James Owen added further tries for the home side.

Dangerous

Jamie Evans was the most dangerous back on the field, but Warriors No. 8 Rob Hughes was chosen as man of the match.

A presentation to the Warriors took place back in the clubhouse, with the Magpies appreciative of the match sponsor Damien Jones from JDJ Exhibitions.

Warriors: Joshua Crowther (Anthony Randall), Darren Pollitt (Tony Whittaker), Jamie Evans (Ashley Hellyr), Alun Stephens, Ryan Morgan (Curtis Ramcke), Dean Gilasbey, Chris Edmunds, Colin Talcon (Richard Evans), Nathan Lawson (Ashley Hughes), Mike Seigont, Jon Kerr, John Horwood, Simon Jenkins (capt), Rob Hughes, Gwilym Lewis
