Wanted: Employment - will work around the clock for minimum wage!
Hello Again!
The intention was to update this blog as I travelled Europe. That clearly did not happen, I just never found the time.
Since July I have been to Barcelona, Montpellier, Lyon, Strasbourg, Munich, Ljubljana, Munich again, Berlin, Krakow, Budapest, Munich once more, Stuttgart and Frankfurt. Sounds quite short when its written like that but It has been quite an adventure, one I will never forget and something I will always be glad I went and did. I shall move to Germany one day but for now I am back in 'sunny' Swansea to search for full time employment.
Just thinking about sunshine. It seems Swansea is the only place in the world not to get a summer anymore. What on earth happened? I remember spending those long, lost days as a child on Swansea beach, sitting around the boating lake with a picnic and so on.
From what I'm led to believe its been a bit of a nightmare here, but surely this means next year will make up for it. Isn't it odd how when you remember your childhood days out the sun was always blisteringly, impossibly hot? Literally though in 2 months I endured one morning of rain and that was in Budapest towards the end of August. I mean Britain would have been on hosepipe ban alert with that sort of weather for that period of time.
I seriously thought about simply uploading my CV for this blog entry just to see if I can whip up some interest in myself. Seriously though I have applied for about a dozen positions so far but have heard nothing so far. I am hoping this week my phone will be red hot but whether this will happen or not remains to be seen. So if any potential employers read this blog, if you would like to offer me a job you would be more than welcome. I have worked since I was 16 in between my studies so it is an unusual situation for me to have nothing in place at the present time. I am optimistic anyway; I understand these things take time and that some people have been looking for work for months. People do seem to be spending more money at the moment and there also seems to be more jobs appearing possibly in the run up to Christmas, which is great news for everyone. Lets hope the country can steer itself away from the economic predicament and get back on its feet.
I just realised I have typed the word Christmas for the first time this year. I'm starting to sound more and more like my dad everyday but - how fast has this year gone? Very scary, but I wont believe its that time again until I hear In Dulce Jubilo pumping out of the speakers in Tesco and Gordon Ramsay's new cooking book on the shelf of Whsmith. How annoying is Ducle Jubilo by the way? All it does is wind people up with its repetitive pipe rubbish. While I am having a bit of a rant, how long did Big Brother go on for this year? I escaped the country for months and I came back and it was still on! No wonder it was raining in Britain, the gods were probably crying.
Well I am off to keep myself busy searching for some more jobs. Keep smiling South Wales…
