Wales name squad for Six Nations

OSPREYS wing Eli Walker has been named in Wales's Six Nations squad.

Walker, who has caught the eye with some scintillating displays for the region this season, is one of five uncapped players in Rob Howley's squad.

He is joined by locks James King (Ospreys) and Andrew Coombs (Dragons), plus the Blues back-row duo of Josh Navidi and Andries Pretorius.

King and Coombs are in contention following  injuries to Luke Charteris, Bradley Davies and Alun Wyn Jones, which have ruled them out of initial selection.

The squad sees the return from injury of props Adam Jones and Craig Mitchell.

Captain Sam Warburton will lead the side as they prepare to defend their 2012 RBS 6 Nations title.

Ryan Jones is named in the squad, despite suffering a dislocated thumb playing for the Ospreys against Leicester on Sunday.

Dan Biggar and James Hook will vie for the No. 10 jersey.

Howley said: "We have put together a very experienced squad and complemented that by rewarding in-form players with a call-up.

"The players in the squad have been playing really well and we have been pleased with their individual performances. 

"We have a group of players who know how to win big matches and have experienced success. We are adding to that players who have stood out and performed well for the regions this season."
