Wales's second ever Bra event set for Swansea
MORRISTON Hospital’s Welsh Centre for Burns and Plastic Surgery will be hosting their second Breast Reconstruction Awareness Day (Bra) next month.
The event, which will be held on Wednesday, October 16, is designed to provide information and awareness for women who are considering breast reconstruction after having a mastectomy.
The first ever Bra day in Wales last year, saw more than 140 women attend.
Consultant plastic surgeon, Dai Nguyen, said: “Last year was amazing, we had a tremendous response on the night and such great feedback, it was important that we did it again this year.
“We hope that Bra Day will help breast cancer patients learn more about their options.
“We have invited patients who have already had their surgery and patients who are waiting for their surgery to come along and share their experiences.
“The evening is intended to be informal so that women will have a chance to listen to specialists, talk to other patients and find out a whole lot more about breast reconstruction.
“Whether you can pop in for half an hour after work or stay for the whole evening we would love to see you.”
The evening will be held at the Village Hotel in SA1 from 6pm until 8pm.
