WELSH independence is "just a matter of time" if Scotland decides to go its own way in 2014, according to Plaid leader Leanne Wood.

The Nationalist leader was speaking after calling for a "fast track to further powers for Wales" if Scots backed independence in a referendum due next October.

She said: "It would just be a matter of time; when rather than if, because the UK would be no more, would it?"

“picko67 - London is one of the most expensive cities in the world. Do you really think people pay millions to live in a dirty city. Like any large city, parts are clean and parts are dirty. If you think London in general is a dirty city, then you've only visited the dirty parts. You need to get around more, so you can see a little of everything. You seem to base all you think on seeing one small part of a place, and assuming the rest is the same.

I have lived among many races in London and there has never been any friction. They all get along.”

“picko67 - from what you wrote about America, I would guess you've never been there. Most of it is filthy, people live in storm drains because they don't have homes. People live in tents in the woods because they don't have homes. Social services send the homeless to tent cities because they don't know what to do with them. Many cities are crawling with bedbugs and cockroaches. Plenty of restaurants are closed down because the kitchens are so filthy. If you've been, you visited a super-clean area and assumed the rest is just like it. Take a look at the real America. Nothing like you claim.”

“And London being one of the most amazing Cities.... One of the dirtiest. We couldn't wait to leave last trip, filthy hole.

You try living in America mate, car parks you can eat your dinner off, a true sense of pride doing the most basic jobs, cities immaculate, food prepared in hygienic environments where cleanliness is paramount. Diverse communities that in part get along. London is great because of it's history as a world trade centre NOT due to the cultural diversity so get your facts right.”

“@immigrant, get a grip, it's not me or my family who seek same faith/religious communities so your argument is floored. Take a trip down St Helen Road this summer and you will see for example a group of Asain lads playing football, they have been down there almost every Sunday afternoon since i moved here, there is about 30 boy, no other ethnic groups are included. So it's not me who choose to isolate my views.... It takes both sides to make a community. Same with entire districts.... Who's making the most effort to be a community and mix? So your talking dribble. I have grown up with diverse communities and this melting pot ideal doesn't work, there's always friction. I remember Greeks and Asians knife fighting in Coventry city centre back in the eighties there is alway rifts.

I think you will find Britain is very open to race and faith, so am I and if you read my previous posts I'm finding I'm repeating my self in saying this, we treat those how we want to be treated our selves and that belief means I have broad spectrum of friends.

Back to the point Nationalism will breed distrust and weaken the UK, it's happening already with Scotland and people like you are contributing what to a making Britain Great with your on the fence dribble.”

“@slim, that was the funniest thing I've read for ages... Well done.

I think there is a lot of money in parts, we are always surprised how many second homes particularly the welsh customers we meet have, holding on to their family homes..., which is admirable But there is also lots of unemployment.

Back in the eighties was the enterprise allowance scheme and it was a great way for young people to break out of the lack of jobs and particularly with having efficient Internet may be this is how Wales can make it self less dependent, Swansea and Cardiff have amazing technology facilities and I don't think they inform industry about what they are doing.”

“picko67 - neathboy is right about you - you seem xenophobic and racist. It doesn't matter where people are from, what color their skin is, or what faith they have; they are all people. So how can "they" be taking over whole areas. What you mean is that you want everything all white. That's racism at its worst. Why don't you just get along with them. I lived in London where white people are getting smaller in number, but it's one of the best cities in the world. All those different people is what makes it great. Try getting to know them and stop being so bigoted.”

“Neathboy234 - democracy is letting the people decide. If the people of England want a Tory government and the people of Wales want a Labour government, then that is how it should be. The both have the choice to vote for other parties. Sounds like you don't understand what democracy means.

Our current system hasn't kept the riff raff out - the Lib Dems are sharing power. They are a bunch of liars.”
