Wales Deaf make it six on the trot against England
WALES Deaf secured a sixth consecutive victory against England Deaf with a hard- fought 18-25 win in Coventry.
Glamorgan Wanderers full-back Celyn Ashton kicked two early penalties before England centre Craig Orrick halved the deficit with a penalty of his own.
Ashton made it 9-3 before England's Guy Lavery crossed in the corner for the first try of the game.
England led after Orrick's conversion, but Wales were back in front before the interval thanks to another Ashton penalty.
The sides exchanged another penalty apiece before Tonmawr centre Gareth John scorched in for an excellent try which made it 25-13 to Wales.
England surged back thanks to Peter Altham's try, but Wales held on for a fine victory.
Team manager Claire Lewis said: "We are thrilled to come away with the win and very proud of the team's determination and spirit to overcome a strong England side."
