Vueling launch Summer 2014 flights from Cardiff Airport
Spanish airline Vueling has released the first phase of its Summer 2014 flights from Cardiff, committing to its third year at the airport.
The company has put flights to Alicante, Malaga and Palma Majorca on sale much earlier than usual to cater for travellers planning for next summer.
Flights to Alicante, Malaga will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from April 1st 2014 adding to the existing winter schedule. Flights to Palma Majorca will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from June 21st 2014.
The programme follows Vueling’s commitment to operate winter services from Cardiff Airport in 2013/14 which extends its flying programme to an all year round operation. The winter flights to Malaga and Alicante will operate on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
Javier Suarez, Vueling´s Network Planning Director said in less than two years more than one hundred thousand passengers have used the airline from Cardiff.
"We are now excited to offer them the possibility to fly to Alicante and Malaga not only in the summer but in the winter as well," he said.
Jon Horne, Chief Executive at Cardiff Airport added: “I am delighted that Vueling has shown its commitment to serving Wales in Summer 2014 and by putting the first phase of flights on sale now to these popular summer destinations it allows our customers to plan and book well in advance.
“There has been lots of encouraging feedback from customers who have flown with Vueling, not only offering competitive prices but also a good flying experience which has translated into the success of the services and their continued growth.
“We continue to work with airlines to win more flights back to Cardiff, creating more choice for Welsh passengers from their local airport.”
