Vote is waste of our money
AT last we can all agree with Gwilym Levell (Have Your Say, Nov 8) when he objects to the £35,000 spent on providing a Welsh translation for the Police Commissioner Vote. However, spending very much more throughout the UK on its English wording is completely wasteful and an exercise in futility, too.
It is abundantly clear the population does not believe commissioners are necessary and will become an extra layer of bureaucracy, forced upon Wales by a Tory-led Westminster.

“I agree that this was a total waste of money! funny that we don't hear the raised comments of the anti-welsh language brigade complaining about this waste of public money or no silly me that's only when money is spent on the welsh language or just to moan at the welsh assembly that's when they come out to play the quietness from these people is deafening when it comes to money that's really wasted from their fatherland of a parliament in London? £35,000 was not wasted on a Welsh translation of the PCC ballot forms.
£350,000 was wasted on an English-language-only print run.”
