Visit paid to Swansea Valley independent living complex to speak to residents
MEMBERS of the Older People's Commissioner for Wales's team have paid a visit to a Swansea Valley independent living complex.
Engagement co-ordinator Kate Hughes met 15 residents from Francis Court, Pontardawe, which is run by the Family Housing Association.
The visit formed part of the commissioner's engagement roadshow, through which the Older People's Commissioner for Wales, Sarah Rochira.
Ms Hughes said she spoke to the residents about what issues that matter to them.
"We want to ensure older people are well connected to things like buses, public toilets and park benches and want to see these kinds of services protected as they are often a lifeline for older people," she said.
