Visit Wales TV advert
A NEW Visit Wales TV advertising campaign has been launched from today.
Couples aged 45 and above are the target market for the new television adverts set to be aired across key markets in England, along with the Republic of Ireland.
Running to the end of March, the TV advertisements will feature Welsh couples talking about their favourite Welsh destination, focusing on their emotional attachment to a certain part of Wales.
The three locations showcased in the first advertisement are South Stack Lighthouse, Anglesey, the National Museum Cardiff and Saundersfoot. Business and Tourism Minister Edwina Hart said: "Our tourism sector is worth £4 billion to the Welsh economy and is one of our key growth markets. We hope our campaign for 2013 will inspire even more people to holiday in Wales this year.

“Let's face it, who would want to come to Swansea? Run down and boarded up shops, Wind street full of drunken teens and junkies asking for money at every corner. Not exactly a tourist pull is it?”
