Violinist in city return
A LATVIAN violinist returns to Swansea this weekend — a year after helping to save a performance by the Mumbles Symphony Orchestra.
Kristine Balanas, who is studying at the Royal Academy of Music in London, came to the aid of the orchestra after the soloist booked for their concert last year, violinist Sandro Tigishvili, was denied a visa to come to Britain.
Ms Balanas's success has led to another invite to play, in St Mary's Church on Saturday from 7.30pm.
