Victim left shocked after sexual attack
A WOMAN was sexually assaulted in Swansea city centre yesterday morning.
The incident happened on Orchard Street near the junction with College Street at about 7.40am when the culprit approached a 46-year-old woman and sexually assaulted her.
The suspect is a male of Asian appearance, slim build, with short wavy hair and dressed all in black.
Police said the victim was not hurt but was left shocked and upset. Before the attack a man of a similar description was seen to approach a woman walking along The Kingsway near the Dragon Hotel.
She was 40 to 50 years old, wearing a red short sleeve top and grey trousers and carrying a black handbag.
Police are appealing for this woman to come forward, and officers would also like to hear from any other women who were in the area at the time and who also may have been approached.
Detective Constable Paul Harry of Swansea Central CID said: "This attack has happened at a time of day when people would have been making their way to work either in a car or on foot. I am appealing to anyone who saw this man or the incident to come forward.
"We also believe this man may have targeted a number of other women during the morning. We would like to hear from them."
