Venue switch for Uefa Women's U-19 clash between England and France
HEAVY rain has forced tonight's Uefa Women’s Under-19 Championship match between England and France (7pm) to be moved from Carmarthen to Llanelli.
The Football Association of Wales apologised for the decision, which was announced late last night.
The game was meant to take place at Carmarthen Town’s Richmond Park home, but almost a week’s worth of rain fell in just 12 hours on Saturday.
Following a pitch inspection, the decision was taken to move the match to Llanelli’s Stebonheath Park.
All tickets for the match in Carmarthen will be valid in Llanelli. A limited number of courtesy buses will be on hand at Richmond Park to take fans to Llanelli and return afterwards.
