Vardre unable to stop Mumbles roll
MUMBLES maintained their perfect start to the season in division three south west with a 13-0 win at Vardre.
Mumbles led by that score at the break but that was the extent of the scoring. Full-back Andrew Claypole and prop David Littlehales scored tries and centre Greg Davies landed a penalty.
Unbeaten Trebanos kept up the pressure on the leaders with a handsome 36-7 home win against Neath Athletic, despite four of their players receiving yellow cards at various times. Athletic had only one player sent to the sin-bin.
Trebanos roared into a 31-0 lead by half-time with five tries, but crossed just the once after the break.
