A video made by a South Wales council has clocked up almost 10,000 hits in 24 hours after they teamed up with an Elvis impersonator to film a winter safety message to the tune of In the Ghetto.

Torfaen Council’s version, In the Depot, shows the Elvis tribute act with front line staff performing in locations across the county as winter maintenance crews tackled the snow covered streets.

The council's head of communications, Neil Jones said: "We’re always looking at innovative ways to engage residents with innovative and memorable council messages.

"We have built a fantastic online community and this is a fun way to show residents our appreciation for their helpful comments during the past few days.
