VIDEO: Drivers ignore no left turn sign at pedestrian crossing
THESE are some of the drivers causing a nuisance on one of Swansea’s major roads.
Earlier this week the Post reported on drivers ignoring a no left hand turn rule out of Somerset Place and onto Oystermouth Road.
Resident Gerald Morris called for more me to be done to stop drivers carrying out the manoeuvre and said it was particularly dangerous as the left turn carries vehicles over a nearby pedestrian crossing at the same time it is telling people it is safe.
Now the Post has caught these drivers ignoring the rules — eventhough Burrows Place is now reopened, meaning drivers can now once again travel west from the Maritime Quarter without having to take a risk.

Speaking about the dangers, Mr Morris said: “I have even seen a learner driver turn left, I couldn’t belive my eyes.
“The traffic lights are green at the same time as the pedestrian crossing.
“It’s been going on since they built the pedestrian crossing over a year ago but it has got a lot worse since the roadworks and people can’t exit the maritime quarter by the museum and turn left.
“I saw a couple of old ladies crossing and they were terrified.”
