VIDEO: Amazing new first-person perspective of space skydive by Felix Baumgartner
IT was one of the most amazing stunts ever seen when Felix Baumgartner did his record-breaking skydive from 24 miles above Earth’s surface.
Now you can relive his amazing feat - from his perspective, and others.
His sponsor, Red Bull, released the footage to mark the first anniversary of the Austrian’s fearless freefall, which has been watched by more than 8 million people on YouTube.
The soundtrack is a rush of air as Mr Baumgartner hits a top speed of 1,358km/h (843.8mph).
And you can also see the moment he becomes the first unassisted human to break the speed of sound as he hits Mach 1.25 at the 48-second mark.
The 44-year-old then shouts the immortal words ‘Rock’n'roll’ as he opens his parachute and prepares for landing.
