Father and son Roy and Kevin Thomas, from Morriston, were stood in the Kingsway.

Roy, 73, said: "It has been a family thing for many years, from when we used to go down the Vetch.

"It has been incredible, like a fairytale. It is amazing for the city to see so many out. It is putting us on the map."

Chris Gay had brought his little lad Joshua, 5, to see the homecoming parade.

The 25-year-old from Penlan said: "It was one of the best days of my life at Wembley, the atmosphere, you couldn't have written it.

"It is quality to see people have come out at short notice.

"I'll start taking Josh to games when he turns six."

Kirsty Ward and Amy Bodycombe from Neath and Skewen brought their children Ethan, seven-months, and Gabriel, 2, along.

Kirsty said: "We have come for the atmosphere, it brings everyone together and it puts Swansea back on the map."

Amy added: "We can't wait to see them, we came for the play-off celebrations as well and that was brilliant."

Baglan fan Alan Cuff said: "I can remember when there was 2,000 down the Vetch, it was excellent on Sunday."
