This is SouthWales

Untitled

Not much of a future, but plenty of past,

Traditional costumes, cawl and pics, and a coastline built to last.

No cosy mining communities, Ma, Thatcher saw them off,

And the best homes bought by London toffs.

God used to be Welsh-speaking, But the chapels are now gone,

Bingo halls and Indians and all sold for song.

But that song was Welsh and the ambers are still flamed,

By the Meithrin and the Urdd and Gavin Henson's name!
