CORPORATE giant Unilever scraped a small rise in 2011 profits after price hikes and cost savings offset difficult markets.

The firm acquired beauty products company Alberto Culver in 2011 with up to 18 jobs expected to be lost as a result at its factory in Swansea off Valley Way.
