Trains are running as normal again between Swansea and Carmarthen following an accident this morning in which a man was struck by a train at Llanelli.

Passengers had faced delays of an hour because the lines were closed in both directions.

But National Rail Enquiries announced at 11.50am today that scheduled services had resumed.

The accident, which is not being treated as suspicious, happened at 8.40am, about 500 metres east of Llanelli railway station.
