UNITING TO COMBAT PROBLEM
BOTH of Swansea's universities and Gower College Swansea are working together to try and ensure students living in the city respect their neighbours.
They have teamed up with the city council and South Wales Police to employ a community liaison officer to promote good relations.
A spokesman for Swansea University said: "All students enrolling at the university sign up to the Student Charter which includes a requirement that students will 'behave in a considerate and responsible manner in the local community'.
"This year, a community liaison officer has been employed through a partnership between the local authority, the police, Swansea University, Swansea Metropolitan and Gower College Swansea to work with students and local residents to promote good community relations."
