Trio in running for top police role

THREE people are in the running for a top job with Dyfed-Powys Police.

Revealed by the force's Police and Crime Commissioner, Christopher Salmon, those up for the post of Chief Constable include Jackie Roberts, who is currently temporarily in the role, Nick Ingram, and Simon Price.

Mr Ingram is currently the deputy chief constable for Dyfed-Powys and Mr Price the assistant chief constable with Gwent Police.

Mr Salmon, who will be the first Commissioner to appoint a chief constable in Wales, since elections in November, said: "I am delighted that we have received applicants from three quality candidates.
