Tributes to carer killed in motorcycle crash
TRIBUTES have been paid to a care worker who died in a tragic accident after his motorcycle collided with a van.
Ron Mackie is understood to have been travelling to work at Cwrt Enfys nursing home when he was in collision with a van on the A4067 between Ystragynlais and Ystalyfera.

Emergency services were called at around 7.50am yesterday, but the 26-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
Karen Beech, home manager at Cwrt Enfys on Gorof Road, said: "To lose such a lovely member of staff is a huge blow," she said.
South Wales Police Roads Policing Unit is appealing for witnesses.

A spokesman said: "A blue Honda motorcycle collided with a blue Ford Transit Toureno van, which resulted in the motorcyclist sustaining fatal injuries.

“We've all served Ron as a customer at our Centre encouraging him with his wishes to maintain fitness and health.
He was always the most upbeat and cheerful person you could meet and would often pop in for a chat and a coffee, along with joining a little salsa with the ladies and a workout in the gym.
We remember him being so pleased with his accomplishments at the centre.
