Tributes to former Burry Port vicar Kerry Goulstone
TRIBUTES have been paid to a former Burry Port vicar who went on to become Dean of St Asaph.
The Very Reverend Kerry Goulstone, of Parc Tyisha, Burry Port, died suddenly on Friday night just hours after recording a bulletin for the Llanelli and District Talking Newspaper for the Blind.

Mr Goulstone was a former pupil at Llanelli Boys' Grammar School, which he attended with John Williams.
Mr Williams, who has run the talking newspaper for 35 years, said: "He and I go back a long way, but we went our separate ways after school.

"He was a very, very highly regarded and popular vicar.
"When he came back home to Llanelli after retirement he joined us on the talking newspaper.
"He was a newscaster and was in recording on Friday night."
Mr Williams, also a former town clerk, described his old friend as a "charming man with a tremendous sense of humour". Mr Goulstone was 76 and leaves a wife and children.
Robert Lloyd, former editor of the Llanelli Star and chairman of the Talking Newspaper, paid tribute, saying: "Kerry was a valued and highly respected member of the Llanelli Talking Newspaper team, giving years of sterling service to the organisation on his return to Burry Port after working as the Dean at St Asaph in North Wales.
"He was very much a vicar and a priest of the old school and his presence at church services in Llanelli and Burry Port, after his retirement, was always greatly appreciated by the Christian flock."
Mr Lloyd said he had "fond personal memories" of Mr Goulstone, most notably when he christened his two children, Kathryn and James.
